One gram, and why that is the interesting number

The Moon Rock Preroll is one unit at 1 gram, printed as .035 oz, with a 1 in the crescent on the front of the pack.

It is the entry point to the line, and it is the format most people meet first. Not because it is lesser — the build is identical to everything else Presidential rolls — but because a gram is the amount you try something at.

The full ladder, for context: loose Moon Rocks at 2 grams, the Blunt at 1.5, Mini Blunts at three × 0.7 for 2.1 total, Mini Prerolls at three × 0.5 for 1.5 total, and this at 1. Five formats, one build, five different occasions.

What is inside

Presidential moon rocks are made in three stages. Flower forms the base. A concentrate is applied over it as a coat. A dry material is bonded to the coat as a finish.

That is the Presidential Infusion System, unchanged since Los Angeles in 2012, and it is the reason a moon rock does not behave like flower. It holds together. It is heavy for its size. It burns slowly, because there is more material in the same volume.

Which three materials fill those roles varies by product, and the composition line on the front of each pack prints them. Across the catalogue that line runs four ways: flower with distillate and kief on the self-titled flagship, flower with live resin and diamonds across most of the Gold Strain Series, flower with distillate and diamonds on one Blue Raspberry pack, and flower with liquid live resin and diamonds on Cap Junky. They are different builds producing different surfaces, not tiers of the same thing.

Where prerolls sit against blunts

The obvious difference is the wrap. A blunt has one; a preroll's is thinner and lighter, which is part of why the same construction reads differently in the two formats.

It is also why the 100% TOBACCO FREE diamond appears on the blunt packs specifically. A blunt wrap is conventionally tobacco leaf, so a tobacco-free blunt is a claim worth printing on the front. Presidential prints it there rather than on the back.
